When our good friend Crockett Oaks pitched us his idea for an origin story film to launch the new Lincoln School Project mascot, it didn’t take much convincing to get us on board. As he explained to us the story of WOO, the Wise Old Owl, we immediately knew we wanted to help bring this character to life on screen! This story was unique in that it required us to tell an inspirational fictional story grounded in an informative historical context; In other words, to tastefully walk the line between fact and fiction.

Through our close creative collaboration, we were able to blend these worlds of imagination and historical fact through the underlying themes of kindness, respect, and unity present in the story. These themes and lessons are woven through the history of the old building, the organization, and the community they serve. We hope that our work through this project will help share the message and further the cause of this great local organization. Watch the film and its supporting cutdowns below!
